If you’re not a PC gamer, chances are you haven’t heard much about this amazing game. But that’s all set to change with the recent announcement from the game’s developer, ConcernedApe: Stardew Valley will be getting console releases in the very near future for Xbox One, PS4 and potentially Nintendo’s next-gen system, the Nintendo Switch.

So how near is very near? According to a post on the game’s blog:

That’s right folks. The game will be out for current gen consoles just in time for the holidays, and if the console versions hold the $14.99 price tag of the digital release, the game is affordable fun for all.

Stardew Valley will launch in Europe for the PS4 and globally for the Xbox One on December 14th, 2016.

Pre-orders for the Xbox One (globally) and PS4 (Europe only) [began] on November 30th, 2016.

In regards to ConcernedApe looking to do a release on the Nintendo Switch over the Wii U he said:

So, who is a game like Stardew Valley made for? Well, anyone who has a love for adventure and exploration and farming. There are many caves that need spelunking, quests that need questing and farms that need farming. It’s also for anyone who enjoys crafting and cooking, as the game has well over 100 cooking and crafting recipes to discover. And it’s for anyone looking to settle down, as there are 10 eligible bachelors & bachelorettes – all with very different, and sometimes quirky, personalities.
