It’s been a couple of weeks since we shared the latest round of recalls with you. Tap or click here to see if you have any of the dangerous items on that recall list. Now, we’re going to share a new list of dangers that could be lurking inside your cabinets at home. These potential hazards include fire, burn explosion and more.

19 products recalled posing dangerous threats

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), along with TJX Companies Inc., is warning consumers about 19 different products that are being recalled. Most of the items were sold by T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods between 2014 and 2019. If you have any of the items on the following list, you should stop using them immediately and contact the recalling firms to receive either a refund, replacement or repair. We’ll include contact information for the impacted retailers at the end of this article along with manufacturer contact information when available. Fisher-Price Ultra-Lite Day & Night Play Yard with inclined sleeper Hazard: Infant fatalities have been reported while using other inclined sleep products after the infants rolled from their backs to their stomachs or sides while unrestrained or under other circumstances. This product has been recalled due to safety concerns about inclined sleep products. To get a refund for this item, contact Fisher-Price at www.service.mattel.com and click on Recalls & Safety Alerts. Or call 800-432-5437 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. ION Audio Portable Speakers ION Audio has recalled four types of portable speakers including the Sport Express, Cornerstone, Cornerstone Glow and Keystone ION Keystone. Hazard: Hydrogen gas can leak from the portable speaker battery when charging and the speaker can burst, posing an explosion hazard. Sport Express was sold exclusively at Best Buy from June 2018 through May 2019. Cornerstone, Cornerstone Glow and Keystone were sold at various electronics stores nationwide and online from Mach 2016 through March 2019. If you own any of these speakers stop using them immediately and contact the store you purchased them at. We’ve included contact information for T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods in the next section of this article. Kids II Rocking Sleepers Hazard – All models of Kids II Rocking Sleepers have been recalled due to reports of infant fatalities. The fatalities occurred after infants rolled from their backs to their stomachs while unrestrained, or under other circumstances. Fisher-Price Rock ‘n Play sleeper Hazard: All models of the Fisher-Price Rock ‘n Play Sleeper are being recalled due to reports of deaths. Infant fatalities have occurred while using these products after the infant rolled from their back to stomach or side while unrestrained or under other circumstances. Glass and ceramic drawer knobs This recall involves glass and ceramic drawer knobs that measure about 1.5-inches wide and 2.5-inches long. They were sold in sets of four and six in the following styles: Mercury Glass Crackled, Bubble Glass, Ceramic (sold under the Instant Furniture brand), Cut Glass (sold under the Instant Furniture brand) and Glass (sold under the Cynthia Rowley brand). Hazard – The glass and ceramic drawer knobs can break or shatter when pulled, posing a laceration hazard. If you have any of these recalled knobs, stop using them immediately and return them to any T.J. Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods store for a full refund. Jimco Outdoor Folding Bistro Chairs This recall includes Jimco Outdoor Folding Bistro Chairs in graywash and teak finishes. The impacted chairs are wooden and foldable that were sold individually at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, and as part of a set with two chairs and a table at HomeGoods and Sierra Trading Post. Hazard – The chairs’ seats can break, posing a fall hazard. If you have any of these chairs, stop using them immediately and contact the retail location you purchased them from for a full refund. TJX Swivel Barstool TJX swivel barstools with a beige, blue or gray fabric back and seat, and wooden legs are being recalled. Hazard – The wood joints on the barstool can break, posing a fall hazard. If you have any of these barstools, stop using them immediately and return them to any HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx or Marshalls for a full refund. Children’s Cardigan Set Carter’s 3-piece penguin cardigan sets are being recalled. The sets consist of a white embroidered penguin bodysuit, a grey cardigan with a hood and matching pair of pants sold in sizes newborn to 24 months. Hazard – The cardigan’s toggle button can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. They are non-electric food prep items used to slice and julienne vegetables. Hazard – The small blades in the julienne slicer attachment can separate from the plastic assembly, posing a laceration hazard. Immediately stop using the recalled items and contact Premier Kitchen Products for instructions on how to receive a refund in the form of a $15 gift card. TJX-HomeGoods glass beer mugs This recall involves 16.9-ounce glass beer mugs that have a label attached to the side of the mug that reads, “Handmade in Poland.” A second label on the bottom of the mug has the HomeGoods style number 069386. Hazard – The mug can break if heated or used with hot liquid, posing a burn and laceration hazard. If you have any of these mugs, stop heating or using them with hot liquid ASAP and return them to the nearest HomeGoods store for a full refund. Bialetti coffee press This recall involves Bialetti coffee presses with a glass beaker in a plastic frame with a stainless steel metal plunger. They were sold in blue, green, black and red and they hold eight cups of water. Hazard – The glass beakers on the coffee presses can break during normal use, posing a laceration hazard. Stop using the recalled coffee presses ASAP and contact Bradshaw International for a free replacement at www.bradshawinti.com and click Recalls. Oball Rattles Oball Rattles in pink, blue, green and orange with model number 81031 printed on the inner surface of one of the plastic discs, and on the packaging, are being recalled. Hazard – The clear plastic disc on the outside of the Oball rattles can break, releasing small beads that pose a choking hazard to young children. Calphalon cutlery knives Calphalon contemporary cutlery carving, chef, paring, santoku and utility knives sold individually and in sets made between August 2008 and March 2016 are being recalled. Hazard – The blade on the recalled knives can break during use, posing a laceration hazard. Stop using the knives immediately and contact Calphalon for a replacement product. Swagway self-balancing scooters/hoverboards Swagway self-balancing hoverboards are being recalled due to fire hazards. Hazard – The lithium-ion battery packs can overheat, posing a risk of the products smoking, catching fire and/or exploding. Stop using the hoverboards immediately and contact Swagway to return the item and receive a repair or credit toward the purchase of another mode. Foldable lounge chairs T.J. Maxx and Marshalls foldable lounge chairs with white and blue stripe fabric are being recalled due to injury risk. Hazard – The chairs can collapse unexpectedly, posing a fall and injury hazard. Stop using the chairs ASAP and return them to any T.J. Maxx or Marshals for a full refund. Ivanka Trump scarves Ivanka Trump scarves are being recalled by GBG Accessories Group due to violation of federal flammability standard. Hazard – These women’s scarves do not meet the federal flammability standards for clothing textiles, posing a burn risk. Stop using the scarves immediately and return them to the place where they were purchased for a full refund. MZB children’s ‘Light Up’ watches This recall involves 303 styles of “Light Up” watches that are identified by style number. Hazard – The case-back of the watch can detach and expose the interior to water, posing a risk of skin irritation, redness, rashes or chemical burns. Linon Home Decor Foldable Patio Chair This recall involves foldable outdoor patio chairs sold individually and as a table and two chair bistro set. They were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, Daily Fair, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Old Time Pottery and T.J. Maxx locations nationwide from February 2014 to February 2015. Hazard – The chair can unexpectedly tip over when someone sits on the edge of the seat, posing a fall hazard. Contact the company or return the chairs to the store where purchased for a full refund. Autumn wreath with silk leaves, pumpkins and gourds This recall involves autumn 2013 Gardeners Eden decorative wreaths and Chinese Lantern plant arrangements. Hazard – Exposed wiring near the battery box can lead to a short circuit, posing a fire hazard. Immediately stop using the recalled products, remove the batteries and return the decorations to any T.J. Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods for a full refund.
