Tales of Luminaria: S-Tier Characters

Celia Arvier

Occupation: Student of Blaze Class Weapon: Bow

The best defensive strategy in Tales of Luminaria is to stay as far from enemies as possible, and the best offensive strategy is to hit them from a distance. Celia Arvier does both of these things excellently, as she is the strongest long ranged attacker in the game.

She has an access to a number of different bows, but the best are:

Silvercraft Bow, which increases her attack power Golden Wasp Bow, which helps you find secret missions and treasure chests Red Wolf’s Bow, detects valuable ingredients on the ground

Celia’s only weakness is her low defense stat, which can be improved by wearing the Blaze Formal Dress armor that increases her defense up to 264 points.

Alexandra von Sonne

Occupation: White Wolf of the Gildllan Empire Weapon: Sword

Although Alexandra is primarily a close range combatant that uses sword, she does have the ability to charge herself forward and deal long range damage, too.

The damage of her charged attack depends on the distance to the enemy. The longer the distance, the more powerful her attack becomes.

Alexandra can wield several different swords, but these two are the best ones:

Verdant Light Sword, which has a powerful impact attack Red Rose Long Sword, which strikes enemies with thunder bolts

You can also increase her speedy thrust damage by equipping her GE Ceremonial White Wolf armor, which also gives her access to Flash of Fangs mystic arte.

A-Tier Characters

August Wallenstein

Occupation: Chancellor of the Gildllan Empire Weapon: Staff

August Wallenstein is considered by many players as the best character in the game. Although he is indeed very powerful, there is one drawback that actually makes him less attractive than Celia or Alexandra.

If we’re talking about his strengths, then August has the same advantage as Celia with her ranged attacks. But instead of bow he uses charged bolts that burst out of his staff dealing a lot of damage.

His Covenant Cross Staff allows him to increase the attack power of his allies, and when attacking a boss, he can revive a fallen ally.

The problem is his defensive abilities are lacking, and his armor won’t do much difference. He can generate a protective barrier around himself, but he won’t be able to attack while doing so.

Nonetheless August is a great character, and if you like playing using magic this is the one character worth re-rolling for.

Falk

Occupation: Gildllan Imperial Army Soldier Weapon: Twin Blades

Falk is an extremely mobile character that carries dual daggers and has an ability to jump forward, attacking enemies with powerful blows.

His Blade Throw attack allows him to throw his blades forward and bring them back using electric wiring. These blades also deal piercing damage that go right through one enemy and damage the other one behind.

One of his most interesting weapons is Lazulite Twin Blades that allow him to freeze his enemies using Blizzard spell. But just like August, his defensive abilities are lacking.

B-Tier Characters

Leo Fourcade

Occupation: Student of Blaze Class Weapon: Katana

Leo is very similar in style to Alexandra, but his style is characterized mostly by regular attack damage than charged attacks. He is also much easier to control than Alexandra, but his damage does suffer a bit.

His katanas don’t have any special tricks except Strike Wave and Strike Impact attacks that are present on his Lion’s Head Blade and Blaze Ceremonial Blade katanas.

If you want him to utilize thrust attacks just like Alexandra, then you need to equip his Blaze Formal Dress armor with Claw and Fang Slash arte.

Lisette Regnier

Occupation: Aedis Knight Academy Instructor Weapon: Twin Guns

Here is another ranged character that uses guns to damage enemies. Unfortunately, Lisette’s damage suffers greatly the further away she’s from an enemy. But the closer you are to the enemy, the higher her damage output gets.

Her Guilding Twin Revolvers are capable of increasing the defensive mechanisms of herself and allies, which does make her a good support character.

But even with her damage bonus skill Rapid Fire, the DPS output isn’t as high as that of the other characters.

Those are the best characters in Tales of Luminaria. If you enjoyed reading this article, then be sure to share it with your friends online!
